This would be completely terrible for the states revenue on tourism. People wouldn’t want to visit places that their beaches were infested with oil. Even federal, state, and local environmental emergency agencies tried their best hand at migrating the rapid oil from spreading anywhere. But thankfully no major amounts of oil entered the keys , not enough to affect anything even though it’s presence was unpleasant. Mainly places that had much concern more than southern Florida was other places such as Louisiana. Unfortunately new Orleans also, the parts closer to the gulf of that state got hit pretty hard by the unforgiving oil, destroying many parts of their swamp land, and the wild life that lived there.
